For the partlet, I used Hunnisett’s pattern in Period Costume for Stage & Screen as a starting point. It’s 3.5oz linen, with a 2″ box pleat, and a wider collar. It’s modeled after Campi’s The Fruit Seller. I altered it in 2009 and decided to let the ruffle lie flat, rather than stand (as worn with the peasant costume). Theoretically it could be starched.
