October 2012 – June 2019
This chemise, made in pima batiste, is included in the Laughing Moon #115, Regency and Romantic Era Corset pattern. As you can see from the dates above, it remained in UFO status for many years. I wanted to lower the back neckline but had to wait until the corset was finished to do that. Which took a while. Ahem. Meanwhile, I’d already sewn up the chemise from Sense & Sensibility’s Regency Underthings. That one has a nice neckline finish. It’s just a bias strip of fabric, turned to the inside with a drawstring running through it. So I curved the LM neckline angles to make sewing simpler, and finished this one the same way.
