August 2011 – September 2017
A full circle petticoat in pima cotton batiste, from Laughing Moon’s #105, Saloon Girl. Yards and yards of JoAnn’s polyester lace was handsewn to the hem. Initially I tried to get by with just three rows, the bottom as a single layer. But it looked a little skimpy. Four rows inside and out was an improvement. This isn’t the classiest trim, but I really wanted lace so it was a compromise. After a wash it softens up a good bit.
