Petticoat

January – February 2010

A 127″ three panel petticoat in pima cotton broadcloth. This petticoat works well for costumes in the 1830s – 1860s era. There are three tucks, flat felled seams and stroked gathers, with the fullness distributed evenly all the way around. The waistband sits 1″ below my natural waist, which I find avoids bulkiness at the waist.
This petticoat is shown over my bell shaped hoop.
