January 2010
Two walking length petticoats made up using the Laughing Moon #102 pattern, for the era 1870 to 1900. Finished with french seams.
The cotton voile version on the left was made first. It was clear to me that this fabric was not going to give my skirts enough kick. So I made a second version in pima cotton lawn. The petticoats can be worn over or under each other, or by themselves. I think they will prove to be versatile undergarments. They’re quite comfortable under my corset girdle too.
