Simplicity #1080. This is made from a period calico in my stash. It’s wonderfully light-weight cotton, and though a little drab, has a neat print. Simplicity 1080 has many write-ups on PatternReview. Like everyone else, I ended up lowering the tucks. And not just a little, but by a whopping 2.25″. The pattern’s instructions for finishing the interior seams were truly ridiculous. I faced the neckline with 1/2″ bias binding, and the sleeves were finished with a narrow hem.
